Beautiful Club Function Room

Booking information

Subject to availability, the top room is available for members to book for private functions and Function 8 is the Club’s sole caterer.

The Room Can be hired between 12noon-4pm or 6pm-11pm as well as 12pm-11pm at 1.5 times the normal hire rate.

Music Entertainment & Security

Any live music or entertainment requires approval from the Use of Club committee, please provide detailed information about what you would like to do regarding entertainment with your booking application.

The club has strict noise restrictions and are very selective about what type of events are is allowed, Depending on the type of event or guest numbers you may be required to have the Club security on site. This will incur an extra cost should the Use of Club committee deem this necessary.

This room may not be used for;

  • Children’s parties
  • School functions/parties
  • Business functions, training, promotional sessions and the like
  • Functions for other clubs or businesses
  • 18th OR 21st birthday parties.

Fee structure

Use of Room Only – $5.90 per head (Minimum fee $150) includes access to Room, Tables & Chairs ONLY

Glass Hire – Glass hire can be added to room only events – $60.00


Catered by Function 8

Monday to Thursday Events under 30 people NO room hire fee.

Arrangements to be discussed and confirmed with Function 8 prior to engagement

Friday, Saturday & Sunday – $8.00 per head plus catering (Minimum fee $250)

Self cater – $10.00 per head (Minimum fee $450)

Includes use of kitchen and equipment. No outside caterers or other paid professionals allowed except Function 8 staff. Function 8 staff can assist in setting up, cleaning up and assisting at the end of the function. The staff member will be prepared to assist with the serving of food and drinks.

Please note the Club does not supply linen.

Detailed arrangements are to be discussed and confirmed with Function 8 prior to function.

Deposit
Minimum hire costs are required as a deposit for all bookings. This is non-refundable if cancellation is not received in writing within 21 days prior to the event.

Responsible Service of Alcohol:
It is illegal to serve beverages to any person who is intoxicated. Function 8 has the right to refuse service to such persons. It is also illegal to serve alcoholic beverages to any person under the age of 18 years. Function 8 is entitled to request appropriate proof of age.

Security
Depending on the type of event or guest numbers you may be required to have the Club security on site. This will incur an extra cost should the Use of Club committee deem this necessary.

Function 8, the club caterer at Balmoral Beach Club, has been providing quality gourmet catering, with value for money to the Northern Beaches since 2002.Under the direction of Ben Carden, Function 8 can assist club members with the planning their event – the preparation of individual menus, the decorations and entertainment, tailored to meet your requirements. His professional team are committed to ensure your needs are exceeded.

Ben has experience in weddings, intimate dinner parties as well as larger parties. His previous experience as a Senior Events Chef for Blue Rock Catering and a Chef at Bathers and Rockpool provides him with valuable knowledge and experience for events.
