Storytellers Tuesday 17th June!
As part of our Centenary celebrations a film/documentary on the Club was produced with help from a variety of members.
Join us on Tuesday 17 June at 7.30pm to see the Film and listen to the story of the process of putting it together.
It will be a full evening starting with guest Andrew Gregory.
Those of you who attended the Centenary Book Launch and Club photo will remember well the drone camera hovering overhead. Andrew was the photographer responsible and will bring along a drone and then provide some background on drone photography and how this emerging technique is being used today.
Next member Bob Hill will explain the saga of The Movie.
Bob has been involved in film for some 40 years, predominately as a Production Designer and Art Director. He’ll explain his approach to making The Movie and the difficulties of combining all the various old formats thrown in from the Archives into something the Club is rightfully proud of.
As usual with the Storytellers format come a bit earlier and join us for a BYO BBQ.
The 2014 Swim for cancer raised $87,000 for the Childrens Cancer Institute, and we should all be very proud of that. The anchors in ensuring this major contribution were our sponsors, in particular Allianz Insurance, who supported the swim in February, which is greatly appreciated. Thank you David Hosking for your role in securing this.
Our sponsors this year were:
Gold Allianz Insurance Silver Exectronics and Budgy Smugglers
Bronze Edney Ryan and Raine and Horne Mosman
…..and of course, 670 swimmers on a very wet day. All of your support is greatly appreciated.

We have also lodged, and have now received Council approval for kitchen renovation works.
It was our intention to proceed with the kitchen in winter this year, however at our go/no go review last week, the Committee decided to postpone the works until Autumn 2015. Continue reading
